COMPUTERIZED VIDEOKERATOSCOPES
Basic Procedures to Capture an Image
The upper lid can cast a shadow and
prevent the analysis of the upper
cornea, especially with patients with
deep set eyes and/or low upper lids.
In this case, an assistant can hold the
upper lid out of the way by gently
lifting the upper lid with a
cotton-tipped applicator. The
applicator should be placed at the
lid margin. Do not put pressure
against the eye as this can distort
the cornea.
